I Love The Tavern Triathlon was new to the Richmond Multisports line-up for '07, and is for all levels of experience! The race will start at 7AM and will take place at the Robious Landing Park off of James River Road in Midlothian, Virginia (Southside Richmond). The 750m swim will be in the James River, followed by a 18.8 mile road bike (out-n-back), and a 5k run (70% trail). Water temp expected to be very warm, 80-85 degrees. Wetsuits will likely be illegal.  See wetsuit page for details.  You will swim across, against, and with current. If the river is rough or too fast, the race director reserves the right to substitute a short run of 1-2 miles in place of the swim leg.

Make sure you go to the packet pick-up and course pages.

This year the post race party will be catered BBQ cooked on site by our awesome title sponsor, The Tavern Restaurant.  They are located at the corner of Three Chopt & Patterson in the Triangle Park Shopping Center.

Shirt order final June 19. Anyone entered after that date is not guaranteed a shirt! There is mandatory packet pick-up on Saturday 6/28.  See details on that page.  First 300 registered will get the Tavern Polar insulated bottles!!!!!

TRIATHLON PINT GLASS SERIES
Anyone who races all four RMS Triathlons (Power Sprint, I Love The Tavern, Richmond Sprint, and Naylor's Beach) will receive a commemorative pint glass!

AQUABIKE CATEGORY!
Aquabike category is a separate division of the race with it's own awards (no age groups). The Aquabike category is for those that are not able to (or don't really care to) run. Racers will do the 750m swim, followed by the 18.8mi bike, then instead of heading out to the run, you head straight for the finish line!
