I Love The Tavern Triathlon is for all levels of experience

takes place at the beautiful Robious Landing Park off of James River Road in Midlothian, Virginia (Southside Richmond in Chesterfield County).
500m swim is in the James River; Water temp expected to be warm, 78-84 degrees. We will post temp during race week. Wetsuits will likely be illegal. See wetsuit page for details.
18.8 mile road bike (out-n-back); very nice west into Powhatan County; there are a few hills heading toward rt 288 and climbing to the turn around, fly like an eagle on the way back!
5k run (70% trail); locals love this "must tri" event

AQUABIKE CATEGORY!

Aquabike category is a separate division of the race with it's own awards (no age groups). The Aquabike category is for those that are not able to (or don't really care to) run. Racers will do the 500m swim, followed by the 18.8mi bike, then instead of heading out to the run, you head straight for the finish line!
